WEEK OF 09.29.2025
14U (8th Grade) – Strong Showing at OGP
Our 14U boys had a great weekend at "The Launch" at OGP, finishing third overall in the tournament. The losses were by a combined 7 points, showing just how competitive this group has become.
This is only the third tournament this squad has played together, but they’ve already proven they are far from "just another team." They’re building a reputation as a tough, defensive-minded group that can grind out games and compete with anyone.
PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND
Tobe averaged a double-double in points and rebounds. His inside presence continues to anchor this team on both ends of the floor.
TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Zach, Mark, Derek, Reid – all played their roles with energy and consistency.
Jaxon held his own and contributed valuable minutes.
Roland – continues to improve week after week, stepping up big in Sunday’s games.
Together, Tobe and Roland are developing into a one-two punch that sets the tone, but the strength of this group is in their all-around, team-first approach.

ACADEMIC SHOUTOUT
Savage isn’t just about basketball — it’s about excelling in the classroom, too. Each week we’ll highlight Savage Scholars for their academic wins, whether it’s strong grades, consistent effort, or teacher recognition.
Parents, share your son’s academic achievements so we can celebrate them in future newsletters.
Let’s stay focused and locked in and continue to grind and grow!
