Solid Weekend for the Program!

This weekend, Savage Basketball had the opportunity to compete locally right here in Santa Clarita. It was great to be back home and get reps in against teams we don’t typically face. Across the board, our squads showed steady improvement — bouncing back strong after the grind of Vegas.

• Some teams are currently in a bit of transition:

• Players moving up a level

• A few athletes leaving the program

• Limited availability due to summer vacations

Despite those challenges, each team made the most of it and showed real growth, game after game.

• Tobe (13U) – Player of the Game

• Jeremiah (12U) Player of the Game

• Malachi (12U) – Player of the Game

• Bryce (11U) – Player of the Game

Even if the weekend didn’t bring a lot of wins on the scoreboard, the progress on all three levels was undeniable. Each team may have started slow, but they finished with confidence and purpose — that’s the Savage way.

UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS

There are no tournaments scheduled for the next two weekends. Our next events will be:

• August 16–17 – Sports Academy Tournament

• August 23–24 – Orange County (OGP)

This break is a great time to rest, reset, and sharpen our tools.

TRAINING & WORKOUT REMINDERS

Stay Active This Summer! 

Parents — with just a few weeks left before school starts, now’s the perfect time to keep the kids moving and improving.

Coach Courtney’s Strength & Conditioning Program still has availability.

• Focus: mobility, flexibility, kettlebell/band work, and light conditioning.

• 🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10am ⏰

• 📍 Santa Clarita Park (off Seco) or Central Park (hills/trails)

🏋🏽‍♂️ Coach Brad's Personal Training Sessions are also open. 

• Thursdays: Beginners: 7pm | Advanced: 7:30pm

• Fridays: All skill levels at 7:30pm

• NEW: Midday sessions now available for players on summer break — reach out to Coach Brad for 1-on-1 or small group workouts!

🏀 Shooting Machine Workouts

• We’re hoping to organize shooting machine sessions. A minimum number of participants is needed to cover transport and logistics. If interested, please let us know!

⚠️ Reminder: Once school begins, morning sessions will shift to evenings.
