WEEK OF 07.21.2025
What a weekend in Las Vegas for the Grassroots 365 Nationals! Savage Basketball Academy showed up, showed out, and grew as a family on and off the court:
🔥 11U Boys finished the weekend 3-2, falling in the first round of the playoffs. Their chemistry, energy, and support for one another continues to amaze us. This team is growing into something special.
⚔️ 13U Bronze went 0-4, but the growth was undeniable. This group is just getting started. With more reps together, they’ll be a force. Proud of how they kept fighting.
💪 13U Silver closed the weekend 2-3, bouncing back after a tough first day. They played against some of the best—including two championship teams—and finished strong as a unit—one of our flagship groups for a reason.
💯 Most importantly, our players built bonds. From poolside laughs to locker room grit, this trip was about more than just basketball—it was about culture, connection, and becoming better together

This weekend, we’re recognizing something bigger than individual stats—we’re recognizing every Savage player who suited up and gave it their all in Vegas.

Our 11U boys continue to grow with every game. For many of them, this was their first time playing out of state—and they showed out like veterans. This is just the beginning.

Our 13U teams reminded us that time is ticking. We’ve got one year before these boys head into high school. And this weekend was a reminder that the work we put in now sets the tone for what’s next.
Proud of every single player who wore that Savage jersey this weekend. Your energy, effort, and unity didn’t go unnoticed. Let’s keep building.

We will be competing in a local tournament this weekend! It's a great opportunity to get some reps as well as showcase our talent among other teams in SCV and surrounding areas. We will have three teams participating:
• 11U
• 12U
• 13U

TRAINING & WORKOUT REMINDERS
School’s out, which makes this a great time for extra development.

Thursdays: Beginners: 7pm | Advanced: 7:30pm
Fridays: All skill levels at 7:30pm
NEW: Midday sessions now available for players on summer break — reach out to Coach Brad for 1-on-1 or small group workouts!
Strength & Conditioning with Coach Courtney
Focus: mobility, flexibility, kettlebell/band work, and light conditioning.
🗓 Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10am ⏰
📍 Santa Clarita Park (off Seco) or Central Park (hills/trails)
🏀 Shooting Machine Workouts
We’re hoping to organize shooting machine sessions. A minimum number of participants is needed to cover transport and logistics. If interested, please let us know!
