WEEK OF 05.12.2025
This weekend, our 14U group returned to the court for the first time in over a month—and possibly for the last time together. They finished 0–2, falling short in their second game by just one point at the buzzer. This team featured our 8th graders: Max Johnson, Brody Judd, and Eaven Porter. For Coach Brad and Coach Courtney, this was a bittersweet moment, as they’ve coached Brody and Eaven since they were just seven years old. Both players began their journey with Savage 3.5 years ago, and have grown tremendously on and off the court.
Coach Courtney, who coached his son Eaven in what may have been their final game together, shared, “It’s been an amazing experience to have had this time with my son. Our number one goal has always been to help these boys make their high school teams—and Brody, Eaven, and Max are well on their way.”
PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND
Eaven Porter
Eaven capped off his run with Savage by scoring 20 points in our final game. His growth as a player over the last 3.5 years has been tremendous, and we’re proud of the young man and athlete he’s become.
