WEEK OF 06.16.2025

It was a solid weekend overall for the boys!

11U finished the weekend 1–3, competing in all four games and continuing to show growth.
13U also went 1–3, facing strong competition and staying locked in throughout every matchup. The record doesn’t reflect the progress being made—these boys are in the fight.

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

For the upcoming week, we will only have practice on Wednesday.

We understand that many families are traveling now that school is out. This time of year tends to slow down, and we want to allow families time to enjoy their break.

UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS

Our next tournament will be the OGP Pre-Vegas Warmup:

🎯 This will serve as a tune-up for our Vegas trip (July 18–20).

As of now, we are planning to take two teams based on player availability. Please be sure to mark your availability in TeamSnap so we can plan accordingly.

DAILY WORK MATTERS

Even with the lighter schedule, it’s important that players stay sharp.

We ask that every athlete completes at least 30 minutes a day of basketball work:

✅ Ball handling

✅ Shooting

✅ Footwork

✅ Basketball IQ

Consistency now leads to confidence later.

PLAYER OF THE WEEKEND

Ranier King - 13U Bronze

Rainier had a standout weekend while playing up.

With some players unavailable, he stepped up and led the team in scoring in 3 of 4 games. Rainier attacked the basket with confidence, finished strong around the rim, and played with purpose. His game is clearly leveling up, and he’s becoming a consistent force for this group.

COACH C'S WORKOUTS - STARTING NEXT WEEK

Originally scheduled for this week, Coach C’s sessions will begin Tuesday, June 25th due to player availability.

📍 Santa Clarita Park (off Seco)

🕙 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM | Tuesdays & Thursdays

Workouts will include:

• Shooting reps (machine work)

• Skill development

• Sports performance & mobility

Especially for our rising 8th graders, this is a great chance to prepare for high school-level expectations.

CONGRATS TO COACH BRAD

We’re proud to announce that Coach Brad has officially accepted the JV Head Coach position at Hart High School—his alma mater! 🎉

He’s previously coached the Freshman team and will now be leading the JV program.

This is a huge opportunity not only for Coach Brad but also for Savage. It’s confirmation that your boys are being prepared for the next level by someone already coaching at that next level. We’re proud and excited for what’s ahead.
